Average Velocity - {\frac{v+u}{2}}

Explanation:

Given Information -

  • Half of the distance travelled =u
  • Other half of the distance travelled = v
  • Motion of the particle =on a straight line(uniform motion).

Answer-

Explanation-

When an object moves on a straight line, it is said to be in uniform motion which lets us know that the particle in the mentioned question is in uniform motion.

The average velocity of the object that is in uniform motion is the half of the sum of their velocities.

Mathematically - {\frac{Velocity\:1+Velocity\:2}{2}}

Average Velocity (Required Answer) -

The average velocity of the given velocities 'u' and 'v' is \bold\red{=\frac{u+v}{2}}
