A particle is moving along a stright line parallel to x-axis with constant velocity. Does its angular momentum about the origin decrease with time or increase with time or remain constant ?

mass of body = m

velocity of body V^ = v i^

we know ,

angular momentum = m ( r^ x V^)

=m ( b j^ x v I^)

= -mbv k^

hence ,

option (2) is correct .

note :- I x j = k

so, j x i = - k
