A particle is moving along X-axis. Its position at instant t is x = t2 + 3t – 3. Choose the correct option
(a)Displacement of particle from t = 0 to t = 5 s is 40 m
(b)The velocity of particle at t = 2 s is 7 ms -1
(c)This is an example of uniformly accelerated motion

Answer:

i)  displacement at t = 0 s = 0² + 3(0) - 3 = -3 m

displacement at t = 5 s = 5² + 3(5) - 3 = 37 m

Total displacement = final displacement - initial displacement

= 37 - ( -3 )

= 40 m

Hence option (a) is correct

ii)  \frac{dx}{dt} = velocity

velocity = 2t + 3

at t = 2 ⇒ velocity = (2 * 2) + 3 = 7 m/s

Hence option (b) is also correct

iii)  \frac{dv}{dt} = acceleration

acceleration = 2 m/s² ⇒ hence it is a uniformly accelerated motion

Hence option (c) is also correct

So, all the three options are correct
