A particle is moving along x-axis. The force acting on it is given by F=3x^[2]+4x. where x is position of the particle in metres. what will be the work done by the particle when it moves from x=1m to x=3m

Given,

F=3x2+2x−10

Work done =∫F⋅ds =∫0^ 1 (3x^  2 +2x−10)

                   =[  3 3x^ 3   +  2 2x ^ 2 −10x]0^1

                     =(1)^3+(1)^2-10-1

                    =2−10

                   =−8J
