Question

A particle is moving in a circular path of radius r, the displacement after half of circle would be

a.zero

b.\pi \: r

c.2r

d.2\pi \: r

\huge\mathcal\red{AnSwEr:}

➣ 2r

Explanation:

When a particle moves in a circular path its distance will be

2\pi \: r

Reason because the circumference of circle is

2\pi \: r

And displacement will be zero because

displacement is the distance travelled by a body from initial position to final position in a particular direction.

And when a body travels from point A to point B and then returns back to point A its displacement becomes zero but it has travelled some distance..

And when it completes only half of the circle...

Then its displacement will be 2r..

As the body travels from point A to point B only....
