Distance is the length of the total path covered,whereas displacement is the shortest distance. So in half a revolution the distance covered is circumference divided by 2.
distance= (2*3.14*r)/2
=3.14*r.
displacement is nothing but the diameter of the circle.
displacement=2*r.
distance= (2*3.14*r)/2
=3.14*r.
