A particle is moving in a straight line with uniform
acceleration - 5 m/s2 and initial velocity 12.5 m/s.
Distance travelled by it in 3rd second is​

Distance travelled in the nth second is given by sn= u+a(n-1/2)

Given,

Acceleration = 5

Initial velocity = 12.5

So s = 12.5+5( 3 - 1/2)

= 17.5 (5/2)

= 43.75 m
