Answer:

initial velocity of object (u) = 15m/s

final velocity of object (v) = 10m/s

time taken (t) = 2 seconds

as, we know formula for acceleration is-

(v-u)/t

so, acceleration = (10-15)/2

= -5/2

= -2.5 m/s

Answer= the acceleration of the body is -2.5 m/s

Given : Initial velocity of particle ,u = 15 m/s

\rightarrow Final velocity of particle, v = 10m/s

\rightarrow Time , t = 2 seconds

Find : Acceleration

Solution :-

Let's begin:

\rightarrow We know that

acceleration is defined as rate of change

of velocity, that is

a = \frac{∆v}{∆t} = \frac{v-u}{t} = \frac{10-15}{2} = -2.5m/s

\rightarrow The negative shows

that the Direction of acceleration is

opposite to the motion of a particle or in

other words,we can say that the velocity

of particle is decreasing with time.

Hence acceleration of particle is -2.5m/s
