Answer:

-2.5 m/s²

Explanation:

Given :

  • Initial velocity = u = 15 m/s

  • Final velocity = v = 10 m/s

  • Time taken = t = 2 seconds

To find :

  • Acceleration of the particle

Acceleration = (v-u) /t

Acceleration = (10-15)/2

Acceleration = (-5)/2

Acceleration = - 2.5 m/s²

The acceleration of the particle is equal to - 2.5 m/s² which means its speed will decrease by 2.5 m/s every second

Given:-

  • Initial velocity of particle =15m/s

  • Final velocity of particle =10m/s

  • Time taken = 2s.

To Find:-

  • Acceleration of particle.

Solution :-

By using 1st equation of motion.

➦ v =u+at

➭ 10= 15+a ×2

➭ 2×a = 15-10

➭ a = -5/2

➭ a = -2.5m/s²

∴The acceleration of particle is -2.5m/s²
