Explanation:

Given X = 7cos0.5t where t is the time in sec

As we know the equation  for displacement X = Acoswt

then to find the value of T

we have T = 2π/w

T = 2π/0.5π = 4 sec According to given value,

then the time from eqilibrium to maximum is T/4 i.e = 4/4 = 1sec
