The correct option to the above question is (a), that is R = 4H

Given: Angle = 45⁰

          Range R, Maximum height H

To find the relation between the Range and maximum height.

Solution:

In projectile motion, the horizontal range is the distance covered by the particle at the x axis

Range in projectile is determined by R = u²Sin2θ/g

               Putting θ = 45⁰ , R = u²Sin(2×45⁰)/g

                 Sin90⁰ = 1        ,R = u²/g

The maximum point is the highest point of the trajectory

The maximum height attained by the particle will be determined by,

H = u²Sin²θ / 2g

H = u² Sin²45⁰/2g

H = u²/4g

Substituting the value of  R into the equation of H, therefore, R = 4H
