The velocity of the projected particle can be resolved in two directions which are mutually perpendicular.one direction being along ground and the other being the vertical one.

The horizontal component of velocity(along the ground) is given as 100*cos60.

The horizontal component of the velocity is going to remain same during the whole journey because there is no acceleration in horizontal direction.

The vertical component at time t=0 is given as 100*sin60

The vertical component at time T after the projection of partical is given by the expression

100*sin60-gT. ,where g is acceleration due to gravity.

Let us suppose after time T the angle made by the velocity vector with horizontal be 45 degree

Then we have tan 45=(100*sin60-gT)/100*cos60.

On solving the above equation we get T =3.7347 seconds
