Given:

A particle is projected up the ground with speed 35 m/s . it is at height 60m at time t1 and t2.

To find:

Find t1+t2

Solution:

From given, we have,

A particle is projected up the ground with speed 35 m/s . it is at height 60m at time t1 and t2.

We use the formula,

s = ut - 1/2 gt²

substitute the given values in the above equation, we get,

60 = 35t - 1/2 × 10 × t²

60 = 35t - 5t²

12 = 7t - t²

(t - 4) (t - 3) = 0

t1 = 4

t2 = 3

t1 + t2 = 4 + 3 = 7

Therefore, the value of t1 + t2 is 7 s.
