Average speed and Average velocity are same=100m/s

x(t)=x' + v'(t) + 0.5a(t^2)

x(t)=0+60(8)+5(64)

x(t)=800m

Avg velocity=displacement/time

=800/8

=100m/s

Since it's moving in straight line so displacement and distance are equal, so avg velocity and avg speed are also equal.

Answer:

Explanation:

Since, the particle is projected upwards at highest point the final velocity v will be 0.

From equation, v=u-at

0= 60-10t

60=10t =>> [ t=6 s]

And from equation, v²=u²-2gh

0=(60)²-2×10×h

3600=20h =>> [h=180m]

Therefore, it is clear that in 6 sec the particle will achieve its maximum height.

Now from equation ,s=ut+½at²

s=60×0 +½×10×2² =>> s=½×10×4

=>> s=20m

Hence, displacement=180-20=160m

So, average velocity = displacement/time

V=160/8

[V=20 m/s]

Distance = 180+20=>200m

Average speed = distance /time

S=200/8

[S=25m/s]
