Given :

speed of the particle = 37 m/s

This implies that the particle travels 37 m in 1 s .

So in 1 s it travels 37 m .

In 2 s it travels 37 m + 37 m = 74 m

In 3 s it travels 74 m + 37 m = 111 m

In 4 s it travels 111 m + 37 m = 148 m

This could have been done more easily .

Time = 4 s

Speed = 37 m/s

Speed = distance/time

= > distance = speed × time

                    = 37 m/s × 4 s

                    = 148 m

The distance will be 148 m.
