A particle is projected vertically upwards with a speed 15m/s from the top of a tower of height 50m. Calculate the time taken by particle to hit the ground. Assume acceleration due to gravity is 10m/s*s. Also calculate maximum height attained by the particle from bottom of tower

\huge\bold\orange{Solution}

U=50m/s

g=-10m/s square 2

The velocity at the height highest point

will be zero.

Thus, v=0

Height can be calculated as,

V square 2-u square 2=2gs

0=2500 =-20s

S=125 m

Time can be calculated as,

V=u +gt

0=50+(-10)t

t=5 sec.

Hope it's helpful to you
