Answer:

Given:

An object is revolving in a circle with uniform speed.

Now both speed and radius of the circle I made triple (3 times)

To find:

New centripetal acceleration

Formulas used:

For any object undergoing uniform circular motion, the Centripetal acceleration is given as :

Centripetal acc. = v²/R,

where v => Velocity and R => Radius.

Calculation:

Initial centripetal acc.

Centripetal Acc .= v²/R = A1

New velocity = 3v

New radius = 3R

New Centripetal acceleration

Centripetal acc. = A2

=> A2 = (3v)²/(3R)

=> A2 = (9/3)(v²/R)

=> A2 = 3 [ v²/R]

=> A2 = 3 (A1)

So, new centripetal acceleration becomes 3 times that of initial centripetal acc.

❏QUESTION :-

a particle is revolving on a circukar path with a constant speed if speed and radius of the path are tripled then its centripetal acceleration will.

❏ANSWER:-

❏USED FORMULA,

centripetal acceleration =v²/r

HERE,

V IS VELOCITY.

r is a radius.

❏INTIAL centripetal acceleration .

centripetal acceleration =V²/r =A/1......(1)

NEW RADIUS IS 3r.

AND NEW VELOCITY IS 3V.

NOW,

NEW centripetal acceleration =A2

THEN,

  A2 =  \frac{( 3v)  {}^{2}  }{3r}  \\ A2 =  \frac{ \frac{  {9}}{3} }{ \frac{v {}^{2} }{r} }  \\ A2 = 3(v {}^{2} r) \\ A2 = 3(a1)........(from \: eq. \: 1)

.°. the path are tripled then its centripetal acceleration will be 3 times.
