earth's surface, where R is the radius of the earth.
Ifit is dropped from this height, what would be its
acceleration?

Re=radius of earth

ge=gravitation force of earth

gh=(Re/ Re+h)²ge

gh=(6400000/6400000×2)²9.8m/s²

gh=(1/2)²9.8m/s²

gh=1/4×9.8m/s²

gh=2.45m/s²

Hence,the acceleration is 2.45m/s²
