Solution :-

  • Here, it is given that the particle is thrown at an angle v₀ at an angle θ and it moves with a speed v at angle β with horizontal after sometime
  • As we know, during the whole journey of the projectile, the horzontal acceleration is zero so the horizontal velocity(vcosθ) is same.
  • So we can equate the horizontal velocities at both the points.

       ⇒ v₀cosθ = vcosβ

       → So, that is the relation between v₀ and v

The relation between v₀ and v is v₀cosθ = vcosβ
