If distance travelled in t=1 to t=4s is x, find x/5
(given g=10 m/s)

Explanation:

initial velocity = 30m/s

time = between 1s to 4s

a=retardation= (-10)

so we will use

S= u×t+1/2×a×(t^2)

we will take out for first 1s

S= 30×1 +1/2× (-10)×1

= 30+ (-5)

=30-5

=25m in 1s

now for 4s,

S= 30×4+1/2×(-10)×(4^2)

=120+(-80)

=120-80

=40m

Now distance between travelled between 1s and 4s is = 40m-25m

=15m

so, the distance travelled between 1s and 4s is 15m.

x=15

so, x/5= 15/5=3.
