so we will use
S= u×t+1/2×a×(t^2)
we will take out for first 1s
S= 30×1 +1/2× (-10)×1
= 30+ (-5)
=30-5
=25m in 1s
now for 4s,
S= 30×4+1/2×(-10)×(4^2)
=120+(-80)
=120-80
=40m
Now distance between travelled between 1s and 4s is = 40m-25m
=15m
so, the distance travelled between 1s and 4s is 15m.
x=15
so, x/5= 15/5=3.
