Answer:

11.2km/s

Explanation:My friend,

You must first of all know that the effect of gravity is assumed to never cease.

What it means is that you will be affected by the gravity at a distance of even infinity from earth.

But if you want to know that after leaving the atmosphere of earth and just entering the outer space, what will be the velocity then you can calculate it by applying the eq. Of motion.

V^2=U^2+2gH

In this case,

V=??

U=2v where v= escape velocity of earth= approx 11.2 km/sec

g=-9.8 m/s^2 ( negative sign becoz deacclerating)

H=height of atmosphere = apprpx 100 km.

You will get your answer to be 11.2 km/s approx meaning v.
