Answer:

6sec

Explanation:

t=2U/g ,u=30m/s, g=10m/s22

2×30/10= 6sec

The correct answer is 6 seconds.

GIVEN

Initial velocity of the particle = 30m/s

Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²

TO FIND

Total time of the flight.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows -

Total time of the flight = Time taken to reach h height upwards + Time taken to come down

total time of the flight = 2t

Since at the highest point, The final velocity of the particle is zero.

Applying First equation of motion-

v = u + at

t \:  =  \frac{u}{a}

t \:  =  \frac{30}{10}  = 3sec

Total time of the flight = 2×3 = 6 seconds

Hence, The correct answer is 6 seconds.
