A particle is thrown vertically upwards upwards with a velocity of 50m/s ? whate time would it to reach the highest point [g=10m/s2]

Explanation:

v²-u² = 2as ( 3rd equation )

-u² = 2as

-(-(50)²) = -(2 ( 10)hmax)

-2500/20 = hmax

125m = hmax. ( here negative represents body moving against gravity )

s = ut + 1/2 at²

125 = ut-1/2(10)(t)²

125 = 50t - 5t² ( cancelling in 5 th table )

t²-10t+25 = 0

(t -5)²=0

t = 5sec ....:);)
