A Particle moves 3m north, then 4m east and finally 6m south. Calculate the displacement. Also
calculate the distance travelled by the particle?
A particle is moving in a circular path of radius r. The displacement after half a circle would be

If a particle move 3m North and 4m east it will make a shape if a triangle.

Displacement is shortest distance between two points so by using Pythagorean triplet

H^2=p^2+b^2

H^2=4^2+3^2

H^2=25

H=5

so 5m is displacement of particle

The displacement of moving body will be 2r because diameter is total displacement of particle if it is moving on a circular path
