A particle moves 3m north, then 4m east and finally 6m south. calculate the distance travelled and the displacement.

Distance = 13 metres

Displacement = 5.6 metres( Approximately )

Explanation:

Distance =3+4+6 metres

=13 metres

Displacement is calculated when you measure the distance between starting and ending point.

Therefore the answer is 5.6 metres
