Solution:

Now ,

Distance = 4 m + 8 m + 10m

Distance = 22m

Finding displacement

Here , initial point is from north and final point is from south

By seeing this diagram we can understand that the in the right angled triangle down base = 8m , height = 6m

Here , in the attachment

Displacement = hypotenuse of triangle

Finding hypotenuse using Pythagoras theorem

Hyp² = base² + height ²

Hyp² = 8² + 6²

Hyp = √64 + 36

Hyp = √100

Hyp = 10m

Hence , displacement = 10m
