Answer :

Radius of circular path = 10m

Time taken by particle to complete half revolution = 5s

We have to find average velocity of particle.

◈ Average velocity is defined as the ratio of displacement to the total time.

It is a vector quantity having both magnitude as well as direction.

◈ Displacement = shortest distance between initial and final position.

After completing half revolution, particle will be at diametrically opposite of the initial position.

Hence, displacement of particle will be equal to 2r. (where r is the radius of circular path)

➝ Vav = displacement/time

➝ Vav = 2r/t

➝ Vav = (2×10)/5

Vav = 4m/s
