A particle moves along half the circumference of a circle of 1 meter radius. Calculate the work done if the force at any point is inclined at 60 degree to the tangent at that point and has 5 newtons magnitude.

Work done W=F.S

W=FS \cos{\theta}

As Angle between force and displacement at every instant is 60°

Also, the total displacement is along the diameter

Given, the radius is 1 meter

\therefore Displacement= Diameter = 2 meters

W=5\times 2\times \frac{1}{2}=5N
