A particle moves along the positive x-axis in such a
way that its coordinate varies in time according to the
expression x=5+31-6t', where x is in m and tis in s. The
coordinate, velocity and acceleration at t=2 s will be,
respectively,
(1) 4 m, 10 m s-,6 m s-2
(2) -13 m, -21 m s-, -12 m s-2
(3) -4 m, -10 m s-, -6 m s-2
(4) 13 m, 21 m s', 12 m s-2

Answer:

The displacement is given as: y=ut+

1

at

2

where, u is the initial velocity and a is the acceleration

Comparing with given expression:

y=−5t+6t

2

+2

u=−5m/s, a=12m/s

2

So initial velocity is −5 m/s
