Explanation:

Distance between these co-ordinates (-1, -2) to (-9, 4) are the moving distance of a particle

Usig distance formula

 \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^{2} +  ( {y2 - y1)}^{2} }  \\  \sqrt{ {( - 9 - ( - 1)}^{2}  + ( {4 -  ( - 2)}^{2} } \\  \sqrt{ {( - 9 + 1)}^{2}  + ( {4 + 2)}^{2} } \\  \sqrt{ {( - 8)}^{2} + ( {6)}^{2}  }  \\  \sqrt{64 + 36 }  \\  \sqrt{100 }  = 10

Distance of 10 unit the particle covers in 5 sec

Vilocity=distance / time

= 10 / 5

= 2

Vilocity of particle 2unit/sec
