A particle moves from position 3i+2j-6k to
141 +13j+9k due to a uniform force of
(41 +j+3k)N. If the displacement is in m then
work done will be
(1) 100J (2) 200J (3) 300J (4) 250 J

Answer:

As the force is constant throughout the displacement we can directly use the formula for work done by a constant force.

Work done =F.S (dot product)

Where F is the constant force

And S is the displacement

First we need to calculate the displacement. Displacement is change in position vector.

Displacement= Change in position vector

S=final position-initial position

=(14i+13j+9k) -(3i+2j-6k)

=11i+11j+15k

Now for work done use dot product

W=(4i +j + 3k).(11i+11j+15k)

W=44+11+45=100J
