HOPE IT HELPS :

A particle moves from the point 2.0i + 4.0; m, at t = 0, with an initial velocity 5.0i + 4.0; ms'.

It is acted upon by a constant force which produces a constant acceleration 4.0i + 4.0j ms.

What is the distance of the particle from the origin at time 2 s?.

S = ut + (1/2)at²

t = 2 sec

u = 5i + 4j

a = 4i + 4j

S = (5i + 4j)*2 + (1/2)(4i + 4j) * 2²

=> S = 10i + 8j + 8i + 8j

=> S = 18 i + 16j

Position = 2i + 4j + 18 i + 16j

= 20i + 20j

Distance from origin = √20² + 20² = 20√2

Answer:

C) 20√2

.5.0i + 4.0; ms'. It is acted upon by a constant force which produces a constant acceleration 4.0i + 4.0j ms. ... Distance from origin = √20² + 20² = 20√2.
