A particle moves in a circle of radius 1m with speed of 1m/s. After completing half cycle, find out the average acceleration for the particle.

After completing half cycle ,velocities at start and end are in opposite direction.

Direction positive : along final velocity

Hence,

|\Delta v|=v_f-v_i=1-(-1)=2m/s

2) Time taken ,

\Delta t=\frac{\pi*r}{|v|}=\frac{\pi*1}{1} =\pi

3) Average acceleration is given by

a_{avg}=\frac{\Delta v}{\Delta t}= \frac{2}{\pi}m/s^2
