Given :

  • Radius of circle = 20 cm
  • Linear speed v = 2t

To Find :

  • Radial and tangential acceleration at 3 sec

Solution :

The linear speed at t = 3 s :

 \tt v = 2t = 6 \: m {s}^{ - 1}

The radial acceleration at t = 3 s :

 \tt a_r =   \frac{ {v}^{2} }{r} \\  \\  \implies \tt  \frac{36 \:  {m}^{2}  /{s}^{2} }{0.20m}  \\  \\ \implies \tt180 \: m/  {s}^{2}

The tangential acceleration :

 \tt a_t  = \frac{dv}{dt}  \\  \\  \implies \tt  \frac{d(2t)}{dt}  \\  \\ \implies \tt2 \: m /{s}^{2}
