A particle moves in a circle with O as centre and OA= OB= 5 CM,, as radius. It starts from A. Calculate (a) the distance covered, (b) the displacement, when it reaches B (take AB as diameter)

Distance is equal to the circumference of semicircle

Circumference of circle = pie × r + d

= 2 × 3.14 + 10

= 6.28 + 10

= 16.28 cm

Displacement is the minimum distance from the starting point

Do the displacement is equal to diameter of circle

So ..

displacement = 10 cm
