A particle moves in a straight line with constant acceleration . if it cover 10 m in first second and extra 10m in text second , find its intial velocity and acceleration. ?

Let intial velocity and acceleration are (u) and (a) respectively

For ist second ∆x = Uxt + 1/2axt²

10 = u * 1 + 1/2 * a * 1²

20 = 2u + a ........…(I)

t = (1 + 1 ) = 2sec

displacement is ( 10 + 10 ) + 10 = 30 m

∆x = Ux ,t + 1/2 axt²

30 = u * 2 + 1/2 a(2)²

30 = 2u + 2a

15 = u + a. ...…....(ii)

From equation (I) and (ii) we get

u = 5 m/sec

a = 10 m/sec²
