Average velocity of the particle in a time interval from   (a) t = 0 to t =2    = 10 m/s  (b) t = 2s to t = 4s.   =  22 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Using S  = ut  + (1/2)at²

u =  4 m/s  ( initial velocity)

a = 6 m/s²

t  =  2 sec

S = 4*2 + (1/2)(6)(2)²

=> S = 8 + 12

=> S = 20  m

Distance Covered = 20 m

Time = 2 Sec

Average velocity =   20/2  =  10 m/s

t  =  4 sec

S = 4*4 + (1/2)(6)(4)²

=> S = 16 + 48

=> S = 64 m

Distance covered from 2 to 4 sec

= 64 - 20

= 44 m

Average velocity =   44/(4 - 2)   =  22 m/s
