A particle moves on astraight line in such way that it covers 1st half distance with speed 3 m per s and next half distance in 2 equal time intervals with speed 4.5 m per s and 7.5 m per s respectivly find average speed of the particle

V1 = 3m/s.

V2 = (4.5+7.5) / 2. [by using (V¹+V²)/2]

= 6 m/s

Now, Avg. Speed = (2V1.V2) / V1+V2

= (2.3.6)/(3+6)

= 36/9

= 4 m/s
