Average velocity is given by change in velocity divided by time taken

And we know that change in velocity for half cycle is v2-v1 which is 5-(-5) = 10m/s

And time taken to complete half circle is=

PirR/v= 3.14x5/5

Therefore average acceleration is 10/3.14x5/5

= 10/3.14

= 3.14m/s^2

Hope it helps
