A particle moves on circular path of radius 5m with constant speed of 5m/s . Find the magnitude of average acceleration when it complete half revolution

Explanation:

as the average acceleration is change in velocity over the time taken,

in this case when the half revolution is over the direction in the speed changes by 180°

so in the change if velocity = 5-(-5)= 10 m/s

the time taken to cover the distance=πr/5

=5π/5

=π(as the distance travel in semi circle)

so average acceleration=10/πms^-1
