The distance covered in time n is :

d−a=u(3n)+ 2/1 a(3n)²

d−a=3un+9( 2/1an² ) ............(I)

Similarly,

c−a=u(2n)+ 2/1 α(2n) ² .....(II)

b−a=un+ 2/1 αn² ...........(II)

(ii)-(iii) ⇒c−b=un+ 2/3 an² .....(iv)

From (i) and (iv), d−a=3(c−b)

From (i) and (iv), d−a=3(c−b)

Simplifying the equations:

(ii)−2× (iii),

c−a−2(b−a)=αn ²

⇒α= n²/ c+a−2b
