Given that, Initial velocity (u) = 5 m/s and Acceleration (a) = -2.5 m/s²

We have to find the displacement (s) of the particle in the next 4 seconds.

Also given that, time (t) = 4 seconds.

Using Second Equation of Motion

s= ut + 1/2 at²

Substitute the known values

s= 5(4) + 1/2 (-2.5)(4)²

s= 20 + 1/2 × (-2.5) × 16

s= 20 - 2.5 × 8

s= 20 - 20

s= 0 m

Therefore, Displacement of the particle in the next 4 seconds is 0 m.
