SOLUTION :

Given :

◾ Initial velocity of particle = 5mps

◾ Acceleration of body = 2m/s^2

◾ Time interval = 10s

To Find :

◾ Displacement in last second.

Formula :

✏ Formula of displacement covered in last second is given by

✍️ d = u + a/2(2n-1)

  • d denotes displacement in nth second
  • u denotes initial velocity
  • a denotes acceleration
  • n denotes no. of second

Calculation :

→ d = u + a/2(2n-1)

→ d = 5 + 2/2(2×10-1)

→ d = 5 + 1(20-1)

→ d = 5 + 19

d = 24m
