Change in kinetic energy = energy due to charged particle q travels through potential difference V
⇒1/2mv² - 1/2m0² = qV
Here V is the final velocity of charged particle .
now, 1/2 mv² = qV
⇒mv² = 2qV
⇒m.mv² = 2qVm
⇒(mv)² = 2qVm
Taking square root both sides,
mv = √{2qVm}
∵ momentum = mass × velocity
e.g., P = mv
∴ P = √{2qVm}
⇒1/2mv² - 1/2m0² = qV
Here V is the final velocity of charged particle .
