A particle of charge q1 = 2×10 inverse 9 coulumb and mass m1 = 3 mg .What charge should be kept at origin to prevent the first one from falling ( gravity acts along Y axis and neglect the charges of mutual gravitation?

In this is case, the electrostatic force of attraction or replsion should balance the weight or the gravitational force

Gravitational force = mg

Electrostatic force = kq₁q₂/r²

Hence,

mg = kq₁q₂/r²

Here,

m = 3m

q₁ = 2×10⁻⁹ C

q₂ = ?

k = 9×10⁹

g = 10
