A particle of mass 1 kg has a velocity of 2 m/s.
A constant force of 2 N acts on the particle for 1 s in a
direction perpendicular to its initial velocity. Find the velocity
and displacement of the particle at the end of 1 s.​

a=F/m=(2m/s2 ) j

v=2i (given)

for constant accleration we can use v=u+at and s=ut+at2 /2

after 1 sec

v=2i + 2j = 2sqrt2 in magnitude

s=2i+ j = sqrt5 in magnitude
