Let the mass of the particle be 'm' and the initial velocity of the particle be 'u' and gravity be 'g'. topmost height be 'h'

Here m=100 grams or 0.1 Kg

u= 5

g= (-10)

at topmost height the final velocity becomes 0

By First Equation of Motion

by 3rd equation of motion

v²-u²=2as

0²-5²=2*(-10)*s

25/20=s

1.25 m=s

Now at topmost point the work done is mass*gravity*height

Potential energy=mass*gravity*height

=0.1*10*1.25

=1.25 J
