Given:-

→ Initial velocity of the particle = 4m/s

→ Final velocity of the particle = 8m/s

→ Mass of the body = 2kg

→ Time taken = 2s

To find:-

→ Force needed by the body.

Solution:-

By Newton's 2nd law of motion , we know that :-

F = m(v - u)/t

Where :-

F is the magnitude of force.

m is mass of the body.

v is final velocity of the body.

u is initial velocity of the body.

t is time taken.

By substituting values in the above equation, we get :-

=> F = 2(8 - 4)/2

=> F = 2(4)/2

=> F = 8/2

=> F = 4 N

Thus, the required amount of force

is 4 N .

Some Extra Information:-

• Force can be defined as a push or

a pull.

• Force is a vector quantity.

• S.I. unit of force is Newton(N). It's C.G.S.

unit is dyne.
