A particle of mass m moves with constant speed v on a circular path of radius r. Find magnitude
of average force on it in half revolution.

As the velocity is constant but the direction of velocity changes continusly.

And After half revolution direction of velocity will be opposite So,

Change in momentum= Final momentum-initial momentum

= mv-(-mv) =2mv

Average force = change in momentum/ time

Time= Distance/speed

Distance in half revolution= 2π.r/2 = π.r

So,time= π.r/v

Average force= 2mv/(π.r/v)

= 2mv2 /π.r
