Particle will take 2/3 s to travel the distance of 3.5 m

Explanation:

Maximum amplitude = 7 m

Angular velocity = ω = 0.5 π

2πT = 0.5 π

x = (7 cos 0.5 π t) m

3.5 = (7 cos 0.5 π ∝1 )

3.5 / 7 = cos 0.5 π ∝1

cos  π / 3 = (cos 0.5 π ∝1)

π / 3 = 0.5 π ∝1

∝1 = 1 / 3 x 0.5 = 10 / 15 = 2/3 second

Therefore particle will take 2/3 s to travel the distance of 3.5 m
